Congrats to us!!

Hi girls,
WE DID IT!! SI SE PUEDE! I suspect my in-utero munchkin was the campaign's good luck charm, but I have no way of proving this. I'll just have to know it in my heart, the way I know that America and the world will NEVER be the same! Isn't it exciting that this happened in our lifetime? WOO-HOO! I'm just mad that I couldn't find a New York Times ANYWHERE yesterday, dammit. My poor child's baby book will suffer for this.

It's certainly a magical time, as evidenced not only by the election results, but also by the invitation I received to appear on The Today Show yesterday. So random, but totally fun and hilarious. Me, Adam, and le bump were part of a Kathie Lee & Hoda-hosted panel called "Modern Marriage." Check my wild gesticulating and Adam's frozen-in-mortal-terror expression here.

And in more let's-humiliate-Sunshine news, the "I Married a Metrosexual" article I wrote for The Nest magazine was just picked up by MSN.com! Let me know what you think, and if you have any beloved Metros in your life.

Stay tuned for Monday's post...the last one before my C-section on Wednesday, November 12th!! I'll be giving you a very premature holiday gift guide, as I wanted to make sure your shopping needs were taken care of before I went under le knife. I'll be going on a little maternity break, but I'll be back on March 1st!! Can't wait to give you all the deets on my Obama Baby!!
kisses,
Tia

I love how Sunshine had nothing to say and let you do most of the talking. A quiet man is a price gift...lol!

Tia congrats on the baby. I'm sure this beautiful baby girl will be just as beautiful as her lovely parents.

My beau started out not wanting to try any skincare products, now he can't live without his beloved Lab Series.

Much blessings to you and your family on next Wednesday. I'm doubly excited because that is one of my nieces birthday as well.

Like you Tia, I never thought I'd witness this kind of history in my lifetime... So, like millions of others, the feeling is unexplainable. Actually, one of my cousins described it as that "warm and fuzzy feeling."

I've been reading your blog for the last few years and I've read both of your books (total guilty pleasures, cuz I'm over 35). I was so happy to hear about your pregnancy and now you'll be giving birth soon. Congrats to you and Adam and I hope you have a safe and beautiful delivery. I can't wait to find out what you name your new bundle of joy. God bless to all of you!

Aww good luck and I hope all goes well Tia. I'm so happy for you. By the way I'm a certified lurker, so you probably have no idea who I am, but I love your words and that's all that should matter right :-). May God Bless you and your family on your special day!

For those of you out there who don't already know, Cave is porting their gothic arcade shooter DeathSmiles to the Xbox 360 in Japan. The game represents only the second horizontal shooter from Cave and is unlike anything else they've developed before. wow goldThe spooky theme of the game, not to mention the manic game play, gives the game a very unique look and feel to it. Considering the arcade PCB still retails for in excess of $2500, it's a safe bet that shooter fans are quite happy that Cave is bringing the game over to the Xbox 360 console. wow goldThe game is set for release in Japan sometime during Spring 2009. It's nice to see Cave still taking the time and spending the money to bring their amazing shooters to the home consoles. Let's hope this streak continues. I'll have impressions of the game as soon as it's released in Japan
