The Biggest Gloss that you've Seen Thus Far...

Hi girls,
So, like I said a couple posts back, I've given up my Dominican blowout for the summer, since it's humid-sumthin-awful in NYC. Not worth it. I've been doing a wash and go moment for a month now, and as thrilled as I am, by the third day my curls look like frizzy cotton candy (actually it's just one side...thanks to a lopsided relaxer I got in early '07). No worries, though--the heavens have sent me Ellin Lavar InstantShine Frizz-Fighting Mist ($7.99), a light-as-air, silicone-based shine spray that leaves my hair all kinds of glossy, while protecting it from the humidity. All you need is three spritzes all over, and this stuff refreshes a dull 'do like nobody's business. And it smells like citrusy heaven (lovely after a night in a smoky bar). I use it maybe twice a day, and it makes me and my hair so very happy. Gracias, Ellin!
xoxo,
Tia

I have tried her Liquidglass and did not like how it felt on my hair. Too greasy and heavy.

This sounds lighter perhaps?

Awww, I miss getting my hair done by the Dominicans....We only have like 2 Dominican shops in Chicago and it's like 45 bucks.
I'll have to try that glosser.

Hey!
Once again, I love your blog. I have a question. I permed my hair for the first time about 6 months ago and I have yet to find a haircare line that serves all my needs; Nexus has good styling products, but their conditioners don't have much of an effect on my hair, or Cream of Nature has good hair care, but they only make two products. The only way I can seem to maintain that fresh touch up silkiness is if I go to the salon every week, which Lord knows I can't afford. Help!

LOL! I got one of those lop-sided relaxers in May....urrrrgh! A one sided frizz fest is worse then a full on one in my book!

So, question Tia, Do you have a relaxer now or are you in the middle of a grow out like me (since Nov 07) I ask because I need all sorts of grow out help. Those fantastic products that worked circa B.G. (Before Grow-Out) are not a good look now-a-days... I can tell the curls will be All To Fabulous in 6-8 months, but for now, need help! Any suggestions?

Ummm- what would you be doing in a "smoky bar" Miss Tia? Mmmhmmm- and isn't smoking, like, outlawed in all establishments in NYC? They are here in RI, MA, and CT. I think all over New England... Anyways, stay out of them smoky bars! :) xoxoxoxo

Fitness goddess-

Where are these Dominican salons? All I see (no racism y'all) a saturation of are Egyptian salons. You want to talk about a lot of heat?!? Whew!

I've tried the entire line and didn't like how my hair smelled (like I'd just gotten a relaxer) and it felt awful.

This glosser was too heavy for my hair, too.

Ha! It took me longer than I care to admit (well, almost) to realize that this was not, in fact, a post about giant lipgloss.
