Keep on Keepin' On...

Hi girls,
I'm in such a good mood today. Why? Because late last night, my DVR picked up the "Gladys Knight Comes to Hillman" episode of A Different World (they rerun at 2am on BET). "I really got-TA yoo-OOSE..." Genius. Raise your hand if you can do the entire Gladys/Whitley/Jaleesa routine from the finale!! Now, raise your hand if you can't make it two feet from the nail spa before you've smudged your Essie Mademoiselle polish. Me too. Enter an extraordinary new nail invention, Borghese Perfetto Smudge Smoother ($12). I'm not really sure HOW it works, but it does (for 12 bucks it better work)! With just one swipe of this vitamin E, safflower seed oil and olive leaf extract-infused serum, your unsightly smudge or weird fingerprint is magically smoothed. Perfect for clutzes and impatient girls like me who can't resist the urge to go rummaging around in their bags immediately apres-manicure.
xoxo,
Tia

Wow, I always see Borghese nail polish in CVS but I had no idea about this product. Thanks! I definitely fit the profile of a chronic smudger! And I'm a perfectionist... not a good combination.

How sad is it that I am wearing Essie Mademoiselle RIGHT NOW? Second only to the sadness that I am heading to Ulta right after work to buy this smudge-proofer!

Thanks as always Tia!

Hey Tabitha,

I live in Miami and they have a little Borghese display near the Sally Hansen and Orly stuff. Check ULTA if anything...they have every product known to man!

Borghese is a CVS find.

Another good buy is Sally Hansen SALON nail polish I bought it in Pat on the Black (who can resist a cute name!) on a whim and I am going on 7 days without a chip on my toes.

My fave part is when the other girl sings it like "I've really got to u-use..." all clipped and Brit style and then breaks it down for the real performance. Hilarious! That's one of my favorite Gladys Knight songs ever. My aunt used to call me Whitley in my prissier days. LOL My first red nail polish was Borghese back in 79', thanks to my fave aunt donating to my dress-up kit.
Phoenix Rising-thanks for the tip on Pat on the Black. I've been curious to try it but haven't picked it up yet. I think WG has Sally Hansen BOGO this week so I'm on it.

I looooove that episode too!! I'm going to see if I can hunt that smudge proof down now.

Quick fact-(I'm such a pop culture nerd) The chick that plays the third piece to Whitley and Jaleesa's trio is Billy Blanks' son Billy Blanks Jr's wife and they have a video called Cardioke.

Lol!!

Different World is by far my favorite show ever. I got to work on the DW launch for Nick at Nite and was so sad that I didn't get to meet the cast :(.
