So sick

Hey Ladies,
I've been missing you sooo much. Okay, so you know how I get really bad migraines? Well, earlier this week I found myself in the middle of a stress blizzard, which prompted a huge, ugly, ill-timed migraine attack--and thus, a little hospital vacay. When I first checked in, my roomie was a junkie who told the nurse that she was scared she might "lose her s&*t and f&%k somebody up" if she didn't leave her alone (yes, I promptly switched rooms). I'm feeling tons better and I'm finally out of the hospital, but my doctor advised me to keep a veeerrrry low profile for a little bit, just to pull myself together. So, mama's going to take a little SYB break this week, but I'll be back in no time with my Fashion Week roundup! Please don't be mad--I'd lose my s&^t and f&$k somebody up if I thought you were mad at me--and enjoy this breezy fall weather. Can't wait to break out my new ankle booties.
big fat love,
tia

Have you tried drinking black coffee when you get your attacks? I used to have bad migraines at least once a week, it really helped me since I haven't had migraines for more than 7 months now.
God Bless!

I hope you feel better Tia. I'm a newcomer and huge fan of the site. I missed your updates terribly. As nice as it has been to peruse the archives and see your sister (Brownie's) picture everytime I visited the site, I think I'm definitely ready to move on from the chocolate themed bachelorette talk and move on to some Fashion Week dish!

Hey Tia, I hope you feel better. If there is a Vitamin World store near you, there are these chewable tablets (that you take once every 20 minutes or 30 minutes if you feel a migrane coming on or if you are having a migrane) until it goes away. They really work so try that next time. In the mean time, I hope that the brilliant colors and the crisp breezes of fall keep you in good spirits!

Hi, I'm a newcomer to the site, found you through the allure article. Great blog! ( And i'm looking for your book at a bookstore near to me) I hope you feel better soon!
Quick question, What would you recommend for a mascara for sensative eyes that isn't kiss me? It just doesn't give me that "ooomph"

It is so ironic to have someone with the same name and live in New York. I am actually from Brooklyn, New York (BED-STUY)but now I live in Florida. You are a beautiful woman and I am honored to have such a beautiful individual share the same name as I. I am also 28 years old and have lived in Virginia also. Keep doing what you do! Congratulations on all your ventures in life!

CONGRATULATIONS to the ONLY other person in the world (besides, maybe, my poor brother Kevin, who had to live with me during THE PHASE) who could recite EVERY line to The Lost Boys with me JUST THE WAY IT WAS SAID IN THE MOVIE (without the wrong emPHASis on the wrong sylLABle)!!!!

How are YOU, Honeygirl!?!?! How are Lauren and Devon and your Bobs ('Remember when I called you and you had a cold - you were all stuffy - and your Mom answered the other line and you said, "I got it, Bob." And, I said, "Who's Bob?" And, you said "Very funny, Kinya." WHEW!) and Pops?

Wow. I've been looking for you, girl. You know, trying to connect with my old buddies in my old age, I mean, THEIR old age! Ha! I have actually been searching for old friends for about ten years. I've been in touch with Kippie, Kanani and Freda for years now. I have also gotten connected with friends from Nurnberg, Germany (Go Eagles!). Now, I know why you were so elusive! I see Kanani found you. I will have to ask her how she came upon you. Anyway, I got sick of putting your name up and classmates.com and reunion.com (I must have e-mailed three Lauren Williams' asking if they had a sister named Tia) and decided to just google ya! Imagine my surprise!!

I have been telling stories about us for years. 'Remember when we "saw" "Kid" and "John Goodman" at the Tacoma Mall? We were idiots! I can't believe we did that! And, we got those little B&W pics from those little booths. I have pictures of us from our last day of school from Mrs. Davis' 9th grade English class. You, me, Kanani and Rochelle. You, Thanh and me. 'Remember when you busted me out in that very same English class when Mrs. Davis made reference to "getting hot 'n' heavy in the backseat of your boyfriend's car". You turned around and said, "Kiiinyaaa!"

You have gotten yourself into the perfect career for your outgoing personality, honeygirl. Way to go, Tia. Way to go. (Are you thinking of 'An Officer and a Gentleman' right now, too?)

You gotta hit me up so I can send you the pics. Do you remember your psychedelic peace T-shirt and black acid wash jeans? I do. hee hee My e-mail address is KayLee0396@aol.com. 'Hope you have time. I really do. And, hey, let me know if you ever get down this way to good old Pennsylvania. (Yes, I'm that close.) We have Dutch Country, you know! Ha! I myself will be in New York in October at the New York Film Academy. We could do brunch! Do people really still do brunch?!?!

Long live 'The Lost Boys'!!!! "You'll never grow old, Michael. And, you'll never die. But, you must FEED!"

I will go now. I have a book to buy, written by an old friend of mine who bought me a door-length poster of James Dean for my fifteenth birthday. Thanks, again.

Oh, almost forgot!! My Mom says, “Hello! And, congratulations!”
