Baby Baby Baby!
Hi girls,
HIGH-PITCHED HAPPY SQUEAL! My little muffin girl is here! I've never been happier. Little Carolina is just the MOST. I wish you could meet her. At a week and four days old, she doesn't do much communicating, but she speaks VOLUMES with her sparkly eyes and hilarious jazz hands. I only have a moment, but I wanted to thank all of you for your incredibly touching well wishes and congrats. It's amazing how touched you can be by people you've never even met! I adore my SYB Babes...and that's why it pains me to tell you that I'm taking a little three-month break to bond with my peanut. But I'll be back, bigger and deffer, around late Feb/early March.
In the meantime, I leave you with this. Carolina came a little early because, well, I was hospitalized for food poisoning due to a shady Jamaican beef patty (I literally almost projectile-vomited out my daughter). So they had to take her out right away! Anyway, between the patty and the cherub, I was in the hospital for what felt like years. The ONLY thing that kept me feeling at all like myself was the contents of my toiletry bag. I'd had the foresight to throw Crabtree & Evelyn Aromatherapy Distillations in Lavender/Rosewood ($29.50) in my purse as we ran out the door. It's a fabulous travel pack of Crabtree & Evelyn's fabulous aromatherapy Gentle Cream Body Wash, Soothing Body Lotion and Comforting Night Cream. Not only did the lavender scent help calm me down during quite a few high-stress moments, my roommate appreciated the spa-worthy scent wafting out of our shared shower. Yuuum. Forever more, the scent of lavender will remind me of my sweet girl's stunning debut.
Contented sigh.
Okay girls, my bundle o'amor is squirming, so I need to wrap this up. I love you all madly, and will return before you know it!! Have a FABULOUS holiday season!!

Tia what a blessing and JOY!!! She is beautiful! Congratulations, swaddle her well (didn't the nurses make the baby look like a burrito?!?!), enjoy the family coming by and dropping off things, get rest and watch that little angel grow :-) When I think of my angel, it is SUCH a wonderous blessing (the window to conceive, the birth, everything it takes for a baby to get here - amazing!) I remember smelling the top of my little boy's head and thinking they should bottle it. It is an amazing smell! People always talk about labor (I did natural it was no joke and from what I heard C-sections are NO JOKE either and recovery)... but rarely do people talk about those first few days which are amazing. I stared at every part of his body it is so cool... and then you blink and they are crawling trying to walk like my 9 month old guy... Enjoy Tia and be blessed!!!

What a surprise to see you as a mama with a little baby girl!! I had my son back in September and just wish I was up on all your preggo picks to get me thru the summer. But anyways, enjoy your little bambina, ay que linda!! I second the notion on the biotin for hair shedding, my hair has started and it is very disturbing, but i know you will find something out there.
