Hi girls,
If I have this problem, I know you have this problem. Okay, when I love, love, love a nail polish, I cannot get rid of it. I'll use it until it's wheezing it's last breath. But inevitably, as the polish ages, it gets thick and goopy and lumpy and practically unusable (I never throw it away, though...I keep it in a special bag full of my gorgeous, half-dead favorites). I've always been tempted to add water, but one of the first things you learn as a beauty editor, after alwayswashyourfacebeforebed, is to NEVER add agua to your polish because it effs with the delicate chemistry. Anyway, I was in the waiting room of a spa the other day, chatting with the house manicurist, and I mentioned my issue. Said manicurist was like, "You call yourself a beauty expert and you've never heard of SuperNail Nail Polish Thinner?" Apparently, adding a couple drops of this special thinner--which is only $2.99, FYI--to your goopy old polishes restores it's smooth consistency. Last night, I got to work on all my gross polishes and I swear, they're as good as new. Long live my OPI Mademoiselle!
xoxo,
Tia

OH Wow! This is a lifesaver!! $2.99, you can't beat it!!
hey tia,
im getting married pretty soon and i wanted to know if you could do a post on wedding day beauty (makeup or whatever other tips you may have). Im thinking that i want to wear false lashes, everything else is up in the air
OMG!! I need this in my life!
That is a great find for $2.99 you cant lose.
I've been adding polish thinner (any brand works, I get it at Sally's) to my old polishes for years. My manicurist told me she never tosses a polish but uses thinner to keep it smooth. It's one of my staple "tricks" of the trade... : )

my Mom puts a drop of polish remover
My secret tip that has worked forever is adding a drop or two of NAIL POLISH REMOVER to the half dead bottle... Really it works, so save your $2.99
:)
Awesome... I am going to tell my sister about this, she has a lot of old polish and $2.99 is like icing on the cake.
FYI, you get comparable nail polish thinner at Sally's for about the same price. Cheaper if you have one of their discount cards
I always just added a couple of drops of polish remover. Hmm, I've probably been effing up the chemistry...Thanks for sharing sweetie!!
I've been using this stuff for YEARS! And I can't remember the last time I've had to throw out a bottle of nail polish.
I used polish remover before that, and I was never pleased with the consistency.
Feels really great to be on the cutting edge of something, for a change
