I want my MTV

Hey Sweeties,
I have some wildly intriguing news for you aspiring journalistas! MTV has teamed up with Rolling Stone magazine to create a new reality series in which they'll search among amateur journalists to determine who'll win a ONE-YEAR STAFF POSITION with the magazine. Hark! On the show, which is expected to launch late this year, the contestants will be asked to cover a variety of events and topics over the course of three months. Interested? Check out either MTV or Rolling Stone's website for more information and application restrictions. But get a move on - the deadline is APRIL 7TH!!
good luck,
your tia

Hi Tia,

I am completely obsessed with your blog! Each week, I eagerly await news on the latest and greatest tips from the numero uno beautyista. Today, I have a pressing beauty question for you. I have been dying to try some of the facial products at Carol's Daughter, but I the actual descriptions of each product are pretty vague and I am skeptical of using non-dermatologist recommended products on my acne-prone, sometimes oily skin.

Have you ever used their facial products? If so, what did you think???

P.S.

I PROMISE that little symbol on my last post is a smiley-face, it just looks a little frown-y after I pasted it from Word, lol.

Ha, I think Maxim or one of the other lad mags was doing a similar promo--win an editorial assistant job!!--right around the time I was finishing J school. It made us all so, so bitter. There we were, trying to arm ourselves to the teeth for writing careers, shelling out $40,000 for a degree...and jobs in the industry were just being given away as promos, like so much left over swag. LOL

I wish this was around when I was younger. I'll pass it on.
